Frequently Asked Questions

Is Dr. Marra accepting new patients?

Yes, currently Dr. Marra is accepting new patients. Please call our office at (206) 299-2676 to schedule your new patient consult. Patients will be seen in-office for the first visit, and thereafter once every 12 months. Interim appointments can be done via telehealth.

Does Dr. Marra treat children?

Yes, she does. Dr. Marra treats children of all ages.

Do you accept Insurance?

We do not accept insurance. The office does provide insurance-compliant superbills at every appointment that you can submit yourself. Generally, most insurance companies will reimburse you some amount for your office visit, depending on your insurance carrier and your policy. Please contact your insurance carrier directly for details.

How do I become a new patient?

Please call our office at (206) 299-2676. These appointments may last from 1 – 1.5 hours. If you need to reschedule or cancel your new patient appointment, please call the office at (206) 299-2676 at least 3 business days before the scheduled visit. We are closed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. For example, if your appointment is on a Friday, you will need to cancel or reschedule earlier in the week on Tuesday. Leaving voicemail messages while the office is closed is not considered part of the 3 business days. We understand life happens and we try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible, however, your appointment time is reserved for you and we would appreciate it if you give us as much advance notice as possible (3 business days) to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you fail to cancel or reschedule within the appropriate amount of time, your deposit will be not refunded and your insurance company will not cover this fee.

How do I refill my prescriptions?

Please call your pharmacy directly for all prescription refills. Your pharmacy will fax the office and refills will be authorized within 24 – 48 hours. We are closed on Wednesdays, weekends, and all major holidays.

How should I prepare for my first visit with Dr. Marra?

For all new patients, please sign in to the secure video portal 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. We suggest that you have a notebook with you to take notes during your 60-90 minute consult, as well as a list of questions that you may have which can be addressed during your appointment. We ask that you please have all consent forms filled out and sent back to us prior to your appointment. For all children under the ages of 18, we require all parents/guardians to sign and date each consent form, otherwise, Dr. Marra will be unable to see your child. Please have previous labs or documents (relevant and within 6 months) that you would like to have reviewed by Dr. Marra. Copies of your labs are not necessary as originals will be given back to you at the end of your appointment.

What is the cancellation fee?

Please be mindful when rescheduling or canceling your appointment. We require at least 48 hours (2 business days) notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment for established patients, and 72 hours (3 business days) for new patients. For example, if your appointment is on a Friday, you will need to notify the office on Tuesday earlier in the week. Please keep in mind that the office is closed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. There is no charge for appointments canceled or rescheduled within the appropriate amount of time. A fee of $400 will be charged for new patients who miss their initial appointment (late, canceling last minute, no show, or unable to return all consent forms to the office prior to their appointment). For established patients, $250 will be charged if you are late for your appointment, decide not to show up, cancel or reschedule last minute). Insurance will not cover this fee as it is the patient’s responsibility to maintain appropriate office visits. If you are running late for your visit, please give our office a call at (206) 299-26760 to determine whether or not you can keep your appointment.
